Why liquid iron oxide pigment?

In liquid pigment the pigment is already dispersed in water. It can be pumped and dosed automatically, and the colour spreads through the wet concrete as it is mixed. Everything we produce ourselves is liquid and water-based.

Dosage

Typically 2–6 % dry pigment by weight of cement, but it depends on the desired colour – talk to us and order samples. The dosage refers to dry pigment. In liquid pigment the rest is mainly water, so remember to deduct the water in the liquid pigment from the mixing water.

How the pigment is added

Liquid pigment can be added with a dosing system, poured from the pail straight into the concrete mixer, or straight into the truck mixer. If you add it in the truck mixer, there is no need to wash the plant mixer.

Black from natural magnetite

The black pigment is based on Nordic natural raw materials. FerroSpire Black is natural magnetite (Fe3O4) and comes in four grades.
